A world-class campus of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University will be built in Dhirpur, Delhi at a cost of Rs 1,668 crore. Students will get modern hostels, research centre, 2500-seat auditorium, sports facilities and state-of-the-art infrastructure.
A big step has been taken towards giving a new identity to the higher education system of Delhi. A state-of-the-art world-class campus of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University will be developed in Dhirpur of the capital. This campus, to be built at a cost of about Rs 1,668 crore, will not only become a center of modern education and research, but will also provide world-class facilities to thousands of students.
According to the Delhi government, this project is an important initiative towards the Prime Minister’s vision of a developed India and making the capital a major center of education and research. Modern academic set-up, research facilities and student-friendly infrastructure will be developed in the new campus.

Students will get world class facilities
Modern academic block, central library, administrative building and research and innovation center will be built in the proposed campus. Apart from this, modern hostels for about 840 students, residential complex for teachers and staff and inclusive and student-friendly campus will be developed. State-of-the-art sports infrastructure will also be created to promote sports activities. Also, the grand auditorium with 2,500 seats will host various educational, cultural and national programs.
Focus will be on environment and modern technology
The project will be developed as per GRIHA 5-Star Green Building standards to make it environment friendly. Energy efficiency, green areas and modern technology based facilities will be given priority, so that this campus can be prepared as per future needs.
Research and innovation will get a new platform
The government believes that this new campus will not limit students only to studies, but will also provide new opportunities for research, innovation and global level academic collaboration. Modern laboratories and research facilities will provide a better environment to students and teachers.
The education system of the capital will get a new dimension
Experts believe that after the completion of this project, Delhi’s identity will be strengthened not only as an administrative capital but also as a major education hub. With this, students across the country will benefit from modern and global level education, while Delhi’s competitiveness in the field of higher education and research will also increase.
