Darshan is currently in judicial custody in connection with the murder of Renukaswamy. Amid this, actress Malashree has come out in support of the Kannada superstar.
In the media interaction, she revealed that it was Darshan who introduced her daughter Aradhana to the industry and hoped the actor would get justice.

While interacting with the media, Malashree said she and her daughter are grateful to him. She asserted that the actor is different from the things she heard and saw. “I believe in justice and God. It was Darshan who introduced my daughter Aradhana to the industry through the film Kaatera; so my daughter Aradhana and I will be forever grateful to Darshan. The love shown by Darshan cannot be forgotten,” said.
She further mentioned about Darshan’s wife and said Vijaylakshmi is a strong woman and has seen many ups and downs in her life. “I really don’t know what to say about the incident that has happened now. There is a belief in justice. Hope it will turn out good for Darshan,” she added.
For the unversed, Darshan is a primary accused in the murder case as it was reportedly on his orders his aids allegedly tortured Renukaswamy to death.
Why was Darshan shifted to Bellary Jail?
On Thursday morning Darshan was shifted to a new jail following allegations of receiving VIP treatment in Parappana Agrahara Prison, Bengaluru. A photo of him with three others enjoying a conversation in the lawns of the Parappana Agrahara Prison went viral earlier this week, leading to controversy. Reportedly, Darshan was living a luxurious life in jail. In the leaked photos obtained by Republic Kannada, he could be seen enjoying coffee and smoking a cigarette while having leisure time in the garden with his manager and others. According to insiders, Darshan was happy with the treatment he had been getting in jail. According to reports, a jail inmate sent this photo of Darshan to his wife, assuring her of his condition while being incarcerated.
