Due to the India-Australia match in the Women’s T20 World Cup, the timing of the India-Ireland Men’s T20 has been changed. Sunday’s match will now start 1 hour earlier at 6 pm, so that it does not clash with the women’s match at 7 pm and fans can enjoy both.
Mumbai: Due to the big match between India and Australia at Lord’s in the Women’s T20 World Cup, the timing of the India-Ireland men’s T20 match has been changed. The second T20 match to be held on Sunday will now start an hour earlier. A Cricket Ireland spokesperson said that the matches which usually start at 7 pm Indian time, will this time be played at 6 pm (1:30 pm local time).
Harmanpreet Kaur’s team will play its last group match against Australia to secure a place in the semi-finals of the Women’s T20 World Cup. This important match will start at 7 pm. This change has been made in the timing of the matches of the men’s team so that both the matches do not happen at the same time and the fans can enjoy both. The T20 matches between India and Ireland are to be played in Belfast on Friday and Sunday.
The schedule of England series will be like this
Immediately after the Ireland series, a five-match T20 series is to be held in England, for which different timings have been kept. The three matches to be held in Chester le Street, Nottingham and Bristol will start at 10 pm Indian time. At the same time, the matches to be held in Manchester on 4th July and Southampton on 11th July will be played at the normal time i.e. 7 pm. The subsequent three ODI matches will start at 3:30 pm.
First T20 in Belfast, India waits
This is the first time that the Indian men’s team is playing a T20 International match in Belfast. Earlier in 2007, India played three ODI matches against South Africa and one ODI against Ireland. In recent years, India has played only matches in Dublin (6 T20 matches in 2018, 2022 and 2023). India had won all these six matches.
