Economic and industrial rejuvenation of UP
Counting the achievements of his tenure (2017-2025), CM said that UP is now becoming a state to lead economic and social progress, not only a part of the country. He presented the economic figures increased from GSDP 13 lakh crore to Rs 35 lakh crore, exports from 84 thousand crore to Rs 1.86 lakh crore, and digital transactions from Rs 122 crore to Rs 1400 crore.
New heights in agriculture and irrigation
Yogi Adityanath said that UP agriculture has made historical progress in the last eight years. There was a significant increase in wheat, rice, pulses, oilseeds, sugarcane and ethanol production. With the completion of 31 irrigation projects, 23 lakh hectares of land got water. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, 2.86 crore farmers received Rs 90,000 crore directly.
Improvement in infrastructure and industrial investment
The CM said that before 2017, the incomplete network and the investment state were the identity of the state. Now the number of expressways in UP has increased from 2 to 22, the number of airports has reached 16 and the construction of Jewar International Airport is in the final stages. Industrial investment came to a proposal of Rs 45 lakh crore, in which projects worth Rs 15 lakh crore landed on the ground.
Traditional crafts and changes in MSME
Yogi said that traditional craftsmen and MSME units were linked to technology and packaging. The ODOP scheme and GI tag products created a global identity. 1.75 crore jobs were created under 96 lakh units.
CM’s sarcasm at opposition
Yogi Adityanath accused the opposition of family thinking and lack of development. He described his ‘PDA’ slogan as throwing dust in the public’s eyes. UP was backward due to incomplete networks and stagnant investment of opposition governments.
Uttar Pradesh is now emerging as a model state of development, good governance and investment. The assembly discussion made it clear that the state government is committed to overall and inclusive development. Now the next challenge is how to make the schemes come true on the ground under Vision 2047, so that UP should strengthen the country’s economic and social leadership.
