VBG Ramji Yojana Chhattisgarh: Awareness campaign is intensified in Chhattisgarh for VB Ji Ramji Yojana starting from July 1. Programs are going on in every village.
Raipur: To provide new employment and livelihood opportunities to the rural families of Chhattisgarh, the state government is going to launch VB Ji Ramji (Developed India Guaranteed Employment and Livelihood Mission-Rural) scheme from July 1, 2026. An awareness campaign is being run in the entire state to spread information about the scheme to as many people as possible. Under the guidance of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, continuous meetings, training programs and gram sabhas are being organized at the Gram Panchayat, Janpad Panchayat and district level. In these programs, villagers are being given information about the rules, benefits and eligibility of the scheme.
Villagers formed human chain in Sankara and Deori
A lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the villagers regarding the scheme. A large number of people are attending the gram sabhas organized in different villages and getting information about the scheme. In this series, villagers formed a human chain in Gram Panchayat Sankara and Deori of District Panchayat Berla of Bemetara district to spread awareness. People publicized the scheme by holding placards with awareness messages in their hands. Messages like ‘VB Ji Ramji – Village progress, responsibility of all of us’, ‘New enabler of employment and livelihood’ and ‘Prosperous villages, strong families’ were carried on these placards. The villagers also appealed to the people to join the scheme and take its benefits.
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan praised
Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan also appreciated this initiative of Bemetara district. Posting on his X (Twitter) account, he said that this picture shows the awareness and confidence of the people of the village. The Union Rural Development Ministry also posted from its official X handle calling this human chain a symbol of public awareness towards the scheme.
Resolve to extend the benefits of the scheme to eligible families
During the human chain, the villagers gave the message that this is not just a government scheme, but a public participation campaign towards the development and self-reliance of villages. On this occasion, the villagers also pledged that they will cooperate in extending the benefits of the scheme to the eligible families and giving information about it to as many people as possible.
Officials gave complete information in gram sabhas
Officials told in the gram sabhas that under the VB Ji Ramji Scheme, employment and livelihood opportunities will be provided to the eligible rural families. The main objective of the scheme is to increase employment opportunities in rural areas, encourage economic activities, increase the income of families and make villages economically strong. Preparations have also been intensified at the Panchayat level for effective operation of the scheme.
Officers, public representatives and beneficiaries will get training
According to the action plan of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, a target has been set to complete the training of Panchayat, Block and District level officers-employees, public representatives and beneficiaries by June 30, 2026. For this, training programs are being organized in different phases so that after the implementation of the scheme, there is no problem and the eligible families can get the benefits on time.
Lakhs of rural families expected to get benefits from July 1
Gram Sabhas, Chaupals, poster-banners, announcements, publicity chariots and digital mediums are being used to promote the scheme. Apart from this, Sarpanch, Secretary, Employment Assistant, women of self-help groups, public representatives and local social organizations are also playing an active role in giving information about the scheme to the people. Villagers hope that this scheme will create new employment and income opportunities in the villages and strengthen the rural economy. After the implementation of the scheme from July 1, lakhs of rural families of the state are expected to get direct benefits from it.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma came live on his Facebook account on Tuesday and shared information about the upcoming Gram Sabhas and VB Ji Ramji Yojana with the people. He appealed to the people to take advantage of the scheme and also answered people’s questions during the live session.
