Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai paid tribute to the statue of the brave queen Rani Durgavati located on Canal Linking Road of the capital Raipur by garlanding her on the occasion of her martyrdom day. In the program organized during this period, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the unique courage, bravery and sacrifice of Rani Durgavati, calling her an invaluable heritage of Indian history.
Rani Durgavati’s life is an example of patriotism and self-respect.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the life of Rani Durgavati is the supreme example of patriotism, self-respect and dedication towards the motherland. His struggle and sacrifice even today remains a source of inspiration for crores of people. He said that the glorious story of Rani Durgavati teaches us to move forward with courage, confidence and devotion even in difficult circumstances.

The Chief Minister said that it is very important for any society to remember its glorious history, culture and great personalities. A society that forgets its history and heritage also has an adverse effect on its future. The society which respects and remembers its great men, its future is always bright and strong.

Referring to important incidents in the life of Rani Durgavati, the Chief Minister said that she had bravely faced the huge army of the Mughal Empire. Even in adverse circumstances, he fought till his last breath and gave top priority to the protection of motherland and self-respect. His sacrifice will always be remembered in Indian history as an unmatched example of courage and self-respect.
