New revelation in the case of Ketan Agarwal’s death after falling from Lohgarh Fort. The father claimed that fiancee Siya Goyal also tried to murder him four days ago.
Lohagad Fort Murder Case: A new and shocking revelation has come to light in the case of 26-year-old Ketan Agarwal’s death after falling into a ditch near Lohgarh Fort in Pune. Ketan’s father Vishal Aggarwal claims that fiancee Sia Goyal had tried to kill him at the same place 4 days before the alleged murder. According to Vishal Aggarwal, on June 14, Siya Goyal had pushed Ketan at Lohgarh Fort, but he was saved by holding a bush. After this Siya made the excuse of snake to handle the situation.
Ketan’s father claims: A murder attempt was made earlier also
Ketan’s father Vishal Aggarwal told that on June 14, Siya and Ketan had gone to Lohgarh Fort alone. During that time, Siya allegedly pushed Ketan from the fort. They say that after the push, Ketan slipped downwards, but he caught hold of a bush and managed to save his life. When she realized she had been pushed, Sia reportedly started shouting “snake, snake” loudly and later hugged her. Vishal Aggarwal alleges that Sia did this so that no one would doubt her.
Questions raised on the incident of passport missing
Referring to another incident, Vishal Aggarwal said that during a trip, when everyone reached the airport, everyone had passports, but Ketan’s passport was missing. The family searched extensively for the passport, but could not find it. Due to this the trip had to be canceled and everyone had to return. Vishal Agarwal says that after a few days, Siya again argued with Ketan and again asked about going to Lohgarh Fort.
Ketan died after falling into a ditch on June 18.
Ketan Agarwal, a resident of Gahunje in Pune district, was a director in the real estate business of the family. On June 18, he died after falling into a ditch about 400 feet deep near Lohgarh Fort. Lohgarh Fort is one of the historical and famous forts of Maharashtra. It is associated with the history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire and is included in the 12 forts that have found a place in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Initially it was considered an accident
Initial investigation after the incident deemed it an accident. Siya Goyal had told the Lonavala Rural Police that while roaming around the fort during strong winds, Ketan lost his balance and fell into the ditch. Police had earlier filed a report of accidental death. However, later during the investigation many such facts came to light which increased the suspicion of the police.
Sia Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary arrested on charges of murder and conspiracy
After investigation, the police arrested Siya Goyal and her alleged lover Chetan Babulal Chaudhary. Chetan Chaudhary is a 22-year-old youth resident of Kondhwa area of Pune. Both have been accused of murder and criminal conspiracy. According to Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh Gill, financial disputes, personal relationships and other aspects were probed in depth during the investigation. Police found out that Sia Goyal and Chetan Choudhary were allegedly in a relationship. Investigative agencies believe that Sia saw Ketan as an obstacle in their relationship.
Police claim: Called to the fort on the pretext of outing
According to the police, both the accused allegedly planned and conspired to murder Ketan. It is alleged that Siya Goyal called Ketan to Lohgarh Fort on the pretext of visiting. After this Chetan Chaudhary was also asked to reach there. Police claim that both of them together pushed Ketan down from the fort. The local crime branch had earlier detained Chetan Chaudhary on suspicion. During interrogation, he allegedly revealed the entire matter, after which the police also arrested Siya Goyal.
Murder case registered on father’s complaint
According to reports, Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh Gill said that based on the complaint of Ketan’s father Vishal Aggarwal, Lonavala Rural Police has registered a case of murder and criminal conspiracy under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). At present both the accused are being interrogated and detailed investigation of the case is going on.
The wedding was going to happen at the end of the year
The marriage of Ketan Aggarwal and Siya Goyal was going to happen at the end of this year. Both the families had also started preparations for the marriage. Even a palace in Udaipur, Rajasthan was booked for the wedding ceremony. But this matter, which came to light even before the marriage, has left both the families in deep shock.
