Chhattisgarh solar power plant: The benefit of the Prime Minister Suryaghar Free Power Scheme being run by the Government of India is now seen reaching every locality and township of Korba district of Chhattisgarh. This scheme has not only made huge savings in people’s electricity bills, but has also contributed significantly to the protection of the environment. Sri Shankar Puri, resident of Housing Board Colony, Dadar Khurd, a urban area of Korba district, has worked to fill new energy in life by installing a ‘solar’ of solar energy on the roof of his house.

3 kW capacity solar rooftop
Shri Shankar Puri, who is living with his family in the Housing Board Colony, was always troubled by the problem of electricity bill and the problem of electricity. When he came to know about the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Yojana, he decided to take advantage of the scheme without delay. As part of the scheme, he fixed a solar rooftop panel with a capacity of 3 kW on the roof of his house. The biggest feature of this scheme is that direct (subsidy) is provided by the central government, which reduces the burden of initial investment. Shri Shankar Puri also received a subsidy of Rs 78 thousand directly in his bank account under this scheme. This helped them cover a large part of the total expenses of solar panel installation. The state government will also give a grant of 30 thousand rupees to Shri Shankar Puri soon.
Environmentally friendly, decrease in 3.5 tonnes of carbon emissions
Since the installation of solar panels, Mr. Puri is saving the electricity bill every month. He says that this savings becomes a large amount in a year, which they are able to spend on other family needs and children. Also, this system is also beneficial for the environment. The use of solar energy leads to a decrease in about 3.5 tonnes of carbon emissions annually, which is an important step towards making the environment clean and pollution free. Mr. Puri says that he is proud to know that his small effort is also part of the global efforts to fight climate change. He said that the process of the scheme was very transparent and simple.

Best investment set up solar plant
Sharing his experience, Mr. Puri thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai for the scheme and said – “I appeal to all citizens to take advantage of the Prime Minister Suryaghar Yojana. It not only provides financial savings, but also ensures a clean environment for the coming generations. There is no need to be afraid of initial costs, because the government does not need to be afraid, because the subsidy and long -term savings from the government makes a beneficial investment.”
