On the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, tribute, symposium and public awareness programs will be organized in Madhya Pradesh from June 23 to July 6.

Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh government has decided to organize various programs across the state from June 23 to July 6 on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee. In this regard, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav discussed with mayors and municipal chairpersons of urban bodies through video conferencing from the Chief Minister’s residence and gave necessary instructions. The Chief Minister said that Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee gave supreme importance to the unity, integrity and national self-respect of the nation throughout his life. His contribution to the national integration and nation building of the country will always be remembered.

Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s life was dedicated to the service of the nation.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Dr. Mukherjee was not only a politician but also an eminent educationist, thinker, parliamentarian and visionary personality. He did many important works considering the national interest as paramount. His life is a source of inspiration for the youth and his birth anniversary provides an opportunity to carry forward the spirit of service to the nation.

Special fortnight program will start from June 23

The Chief Minister directed that a special fortnight should be organized in the entire state from the death anniversary of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on June 23 to his birth anniversary on July 6. During this period, tribute meetings, seminars and public awareness programs will be organized in various municipal bodies and institutions. He said that through these events, Dr. Mukherjee’s nationalist ideas and his contribution should be made available to the common people, so that the new generation can also get inspiration from his life.

Movement and supreme sacrifice on Jammu and Kashmir issue

It is noteworthy that Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee died on 23 June 1953. His death is seen as the supreme sacrifice made in the national interest. He had launched a movement against the special arrangement implemented in Jammu and Kashmir. His struggle for national unity and integrity is included in the important chapters of Indian politics. Dr. Mukherjee was born on 6 July 1901. He is considered the father of the Bharatiya Janata Party and his thoughts even today inspire crores of people to work in the national interest.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the main objective of the programs organized during the fortnight is to spread the ideas of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee to the people. He directed that his personality and work should be widely discussed through tribute programs and seminars and the fortnight should be concluded with effective dissemination of his ideas.
