Sexual Relationship: In Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, an allegation of taking a girl into confidence before marriage and having physical relations came to light, after which the groom refused to marry on the pretext of illness, case registered.
Marriage is the beginning of new hopes for any girl and her family. But what happened to a young woman in Unnao turned these hopes into a deep shock. The wedding preparations were complete, the date was fixed and both the families had finalized the relationship. Meanwhile, the groom-to-be has been accused of having physical relations with the girl by promising her marriage and later refusing the marriage.
The groom’s attitude changed as the wedding date approached
The matter is of Ajgain police station area of Unnao. According to the victim, her marriage was fixed last year with a young man resident of Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow. After the consent of both the families, the wedding date was fixed on June 21. The girl’s family had given around Rs 2 lakh in cash, gold ring, chain and other gifts to the groom’s father during the baby shower ceremony, the value of which is said to be around Rs 3 lakh.
The victim alleges that after the relationship was finalized, the young man’s visits to her house increased. During this time he won the trust of the girl and her family. It is alleged that taking advantage of this trust, the young man had physical relations with the girl with the promise of marriage.
Claiming to be admitted to hospital, lay down on the bed after seeing family members
The girl told the police that as the wedding date approached, the behavior of the young man started changing. On June 19, he called and told that he was seriously ill and was admitted to a private hospital in Bangla Bazaar, hence could not marry.
After this information the girl’s family reached the hospital. It is alleged that the young man was found walking outside the hospital, but as soon as he saw his family members, he went back inside, lay down on the bed and started pretending to be ill. The girl has also accused some doctors of supporting the young man. The victim says that later she got to know that the young man had fixed a relationship with another girl and his relationship was broken in order to marry her.
In this case, the victim has given a written complaint against the accused youth and his family in Ajgain police station. Police say that a case has been registered on the basis of the complaint and all the allegations are being investigated. Further legal action will be taken after investigation.
