Sudarshan Chakra of Lord Vishnu
Sudarshan Chakra Story: Lord Vishnu is said to be the protector of the world. Ekadashi and Thursday have been dedicated to Lord Vishnu. During these days, fasting and special worship of Lord Vishnu is done. In the scriptures and Puranas, Ekadashi fast is considered to provide salvation. There is a religious belief that by fasting on Ekadashi, a person attains salvation after death and a place in Vaikuntha Dham. Lord Vishnu has four main weapons, which he holds in his four arms.
It includes Sudarshan Chakra, Kaumodaki mace, Panchjanya conch and sword (Nandan). Sudarshan Chakra is considered to be the most powerful weapon in the world, but do you know that Sudarshan Chakra was given to Lord Shri Hari Vishnu by none other than Mahadev himself. According to the legend, unrighteousness was increasing in the world. Creation needed a weapon which was very powerful, which no one could withstand. Then Lord Vishnu decided to worship Mahadev. Lord Vishnu came to Kashi to worship Lord Shiva. Took bath here at Manikarnika Ghat. After this he decided that he would offer one thousand lotus flowers at the feet of Mahadev.
Lord Vishnu started worshiping Mahadev. Meanwhile, to test his devotion, Lord Shiva reduced one lotus flower, since Lord Vishnu had to offer one thousand lotus flowers to Mahadev. When he saw that there was one less lotus flower, he said that my eyes are like lotus, that is why I am called Kamalnayan and Pundarikaksh. In place of a lotus flower, I offer one of my eyes to Mahadev.

After this, Mahadev was very pleased with the worship of Lord Vishnu and the decision of this sacrifice. Lord Shiva appeared and said to Shri Hari Vishnu, O Vishnu! There is no other devotee of mine in the world like you. After this, God presented Sudarshan Chakra to Lord Vishnu and said that this Chakra will destroy the demons. Not only this, no weapon in the three worlds will be able to match it.
