Hero Sumanth’s spiritual mystery thriller Mahendragiri Varahi, directed by Santhossh Jagarlapudi, is gearing up for its theatrical release on September 11.
Produced by Laxman and Kalipu Madhu under the Rajashyamala Entertainments and Bridge Films banners, the film has already created strong buzz with its teaser. The makers have now released the theatrical trailer.
The story revolves around Varahi Maatha, the revered deity associated with Varanasi. According to the legend, the Goddess manifested at Mahendragiri on the command of Lord Shiva and became the presiding deity of the region.
However, the royal family of Mahendragiri is said to have been under a curse for nearly 150 years, with its members dying one after another. Refusing to accept the mystery at face value, the protagonist sets out to challenge the belief surrounding the curse and uncover the truth behind the deaths.
