Who will be the Congress' CM candidate in Haryana assembly elections? Know what was the decision

Assembly elections are proposed in Haryana at the end of this year. Political activities and speculations have intensified regarding the assembly elections. Congress General Secretary in-charge of Haryana Deepak Babaria has revealed the party’s chief ministerial face in the assembly elections. He clearly said that the party will not declare the chief ministerial face for the assembly elections. Along with this, he claimed that Congress will get majority in the assembly elections and form the government.

Deepak Babaria said that the party will not declare anyone as the face for the CM post in the elections. In the extended state executive meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Panchkula on Saturday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced to contest the elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini. When asked, Babaria clearly said that nothing like this is done in the Congress party.

CM will be selected as per tradition

The Congress in-charge said that it is a 70-year-old tradition of the Congress party that whoever the legislative party chooses and the 99.99 percent tradition is that he will authorize the Congress President. He stressed that ultimately, the decision will be taken as per the wishes of the elected MLAs. This (face for the post of Chief Minister) is a big political decision.

He clearly said that in the states where elections were held last year, there were many contenders for the CM post, but no one was made the face for the CM post. When Congress got majority in the assembly elections, the MLAs elected the leader of the legislative party and then the CM post was selected with the approval of the high command. He claimed that the Congress government will be formed in Haryana.

Babaria spoke on differences in the party

At the same time, Babaria made it clear that there is no internal conflict within the Congress party and neither are there any differences in the party. This is presented in an exaggerated manner in the media.

On being asked about the criticism of senior Congress leader Kumari Shailja, he said that there is democracy in the party and in democracy everyone has the right to ask their questions. Let us tell you that Congress had fielded its candidates on nine Lok Sabha seats in Haryana. It won five of them, while Aam Aadmi Party lost the Kurukshetra seat.
