There is a dispute at the house of Veer Abdul Hamid, who was martyred after destroying 12 Pattern tanks of Pakistan in the 1965 war. The dispute is not about any property but about the Param Vir Chakra awarded to him posthumously. The son and grandson of the immortal martyr are staking their claim on the medal. The son says that he wants to fulfill his mother’s last wish by receiving the Param Vir Chakra. Whereas, the grandson says that his grandmother has bequeathed this medal to him.
During the preparations for the birth anniversary program, Zainul, son of Param Vir Chakra winner Veer Abdul Hamid, said that the Param Vir Chakra awarded to his father is in the possession of his nephew Jamil. He has demanded it several times. A complaint was made to the police in this matter. Even after this, Jamil did not give him the Param Vir Chakra. He said that his mother’s last wish was that after her death, her husband’s Param Vir Chakra should be kept in the museum in Jabalpur, so that people can see it. Zainul alleges that his nephew is refusing to give the Param Vir Chakra.
Grandmother had made a will
Amar Shaheed Veer Abdul Hamid’s grandson Jamil Ahmed is currently working as a TT in the railways. He is going to Mumbai on July 1 to attend a program in honor of Veer Abdul Hamid. When he was talked to, he told that his grandfather is making false allegations. He used to stay out of here during his job and during that time, my brother and I used to take care of grandmother. Whenever she had to go somewhere, we used to take her along. Then grandmother has made a will in our name regarding the Param Vir Chakra, for which we are repeatedly pressurized by our grandfather.
Big dad should show written proof
Jameel Ahmed said that if grandmother had expressed her wish, then Bade Pita should make it public if there is any written document of it. After that I am ready to give Param Vir Chakra. He also told that since last many years he has been organizing programs in the memory of grandfather. Since last 2 years his Bade Pita himself talked about organizing the program. Jameel alleges that Bade Pita has taken membership of Aam Aadmi Party a few days ago. Since then he is trying to run his political shop on Param Vir Chakra also.
