Heat wave wreaks havoc in Purvanchal, need to be alert in Ballia-Varanasi
The maximum temperature in Ballia on June 21 is expected to be 41°C and minimum 29°C. Heatwave warning continues here. There is a possibility of heat wave in Varanasi also with a temperature of 41°C. The weather will be clear in Gorakhpur, but the temperature may reach 39°C. There is a possibility that the effect of heat wave will increase in Gorakhpur on June 22 and 23.
No respite from heat in Lucknow, Kanpur and Prayagraj
The temperature can reach up to 42°C in the capital Lucknow. Heatwave conditions will persist here with clear sky. Kanpur also continues with 43°C maximum temperature and heat wave warning. The effect of heatwave will continue in Prayagraj for the next four days and the temperature is expected to reach 43°C. People have been advised to avoid going out during the afternoon.
Banda will be the hottest in Bundelkhand
Banda will be included among the hottest districts of the state. The maximum temperature here on June 21 is likely to be 43°C. Continuous heatwave conditions may persist till June 24. After this, a slight drop in temperature may be seen.
How will the weather be in Agra, Bareilly and Meerut?
Agra is likely to have mainly clear weather with a temperature of 41°C. However, light rain and thunderstorm activities may be recorded on June 20. The weather will be mainly clear in Bareilly and Meerut also. The maximum temperature in both the districts is expected to be between 39 to 40°C and there is no possibility of any warning at present.
Effect of clouds will increase in Ayodhya and Basti
The Meteorological Department in Ayodhya has indicated that there will be sunny weather throughout the week. There may be normal cloudy sky in Basti on June 21. There is a possibility of light rain or drizzle with thunderstorms on June 22 and 23, due to which the temperature may reach 39°C.
