Voting will begin on 13 seats of Uttar Pradesh in the last phase of Lok Sabha elections. In this phase, the reputation of 3 Union Ministers including Prime Minister Narendra Modi is at stake. In the seventh phase, elections are being held on Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Ghosi, Ghazipur, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Deoria, Bansgaon, Salempur, Ballia and Robertsganj seats.
In the seventh phase, out of the 13 Lok Sabha seats in the state, 11 seats are of general category, while two seats Bansgaon and Robertsganj are reserved for scheduled castes. 144 candidates are in the fray for the 13 Lok Sabha seats of UP. Voting will be held on the 13 seats of UP from 7 am to 6 pm and the results will be declared on June 4. The commission has made extensive preparations to conduct the voting in a peaceful manner.

Apart from PM Modi from Varanasi, prominent candidates in the final phase of elections in Uttar Pradesh include Union Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey (Chandauli), Union Minister of State Anupriya Patel (Mirzapur) and Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary (Maharajganj). Former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar’s son Neeraj Shekhar (Ballia), Mafia Mukhtar Ansari’s brother Afzal Ansari (Ghazipur), Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan and actress Kajal Nishad (Gorakhpur) are also contesting the elections.
