Vikram Bhatt’s new horror film ‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’ is performing better than expected at the box office. After release, the film faced criticism regarding the story, VFX and use of AI, but its impact was not much visible at the ticket window. Mahaakshay Chakraborty aka Mimoh Chakraborty starrer this film has collected a net of Rs 14.75 crore in six days. The special thing is that the film has registered its strong presence at the box office, surpassing films like Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata’ and Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Main Vapaas Aaunga’.
The earnings of ‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’ declined on the sixth day.
On the sixth day of its release i.e. on the first Wednesday, ‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’ made a net collection of approximately Rs 1.40 crore at the Indian box office. This figure was about 30 percent less than the earnings on the fifth day. Despite this, the total net earning of the film has reached Rs 14.75 crore, while the gross collection is reported to be Rs 17.31 crore.

First day: Rs 2.50 crore
Second day: Rs 3.25 crore
Day 3: Rs 3.60 crore
Fourth day: Rs 2.00 crore
Day five: Rs 2.00 crore
Day 6: Rs 1.40 crore
Total Net Collection: Rs 14.75 crore
It is believed that on the 7th day i.e. first Thursday, the film will recover its cost and reach profit. The budget of the film is said to be around Rs 15 crore. That means it has to earn only Rs 25 lakh more to cover its costs, which it can easily earn on Thursday.
‘Haunted 3D left many big films behind’
‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’ released in theaters at a time when Hollywood horror film ‘Backrooms’ was also struggling to attract audiences in the Indian market. Apart from this, the film also competed with films like Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata’, Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘I Will Be Back’ and Manoj Bajpayee’s ‘Governor: The Silent Savior’. On the basis of earning figures, ‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’ has attracted the attention of the industry by performing better than these films.

Spiritual sequel to the 2011 superhit film
‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’ is being considered as a spiritual sequel to the popular horror film ‘Haunted 3D’ released in 2011. Along with Mahaakshay Chakraborty, Chetna Pandey, Gaurav Bajpayee, Hemant Pandey, Shruti Prakash and Praneet Bhatt are seen in important roles in the film. The film was released in theaters on 12 June 2026.
