New Delhi: Shefali Jariwala passed away at the age of 42 in Mumbai on June 27, leaving her family and fans in shock. According to reports, the Kaanta Laga girl died due to cardiac arrest. According to police officials, the actress-model was on skin-glowing and anti-aging pills, which were also found in her home. The initial reports also stated that she consumed some anti-aging pills empty stomach on the day of her death.
Now, in an exclusive conversation with News9 Digital, the makers of Showstoppers revealed that she was supposed to attend a special promotion on July 17. Shefali was supposed to be a part of a health event, which was an initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s healthcare program, DIISHA.
The makers of Showstoppers, the last show of Shefali Jariwala, had planned a special promotion with the actress that was to take place on July 17. Showstopper is a powerful content series related to women’s healthcare, and Shefali was to be its face. Director Manish Harishankar told us, “It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the sudden and untimely passing of Shefali Jariwala. Just fifteen days ago, she was selected and confirmed to represent Showstopper as a powerful voice for women’s healthcare, a cause central to DIISHA. which is an initiative supported by PM Narendra Modi.”
He added, “She was preparing to lead this important message withB passion and conviction, alongside her co-star Parag and respected dignitaries including Abhijeet Sinha, Program Director of DIISHA and Director of EoDB — the piloting agency for micro-level tech-economies across states and sectors under the broader Macro Tech-o-nomic Bharat vision of PM Modi.”
