Neem Karoli Baba and Kainchi Dham Ashram
Kainchi Dham Foundation Day: Like every year, this year too the foundation day of Neem Karoli Baba’s Kainchi Dham Ashram near Nainital will be celebrated on 15th June. The foundation day of Kainchi Dham is celebrated every year on 15th June because on this day Hanuman ji and other idols were consecrated in the ashram in different years. On this day a famous feast is organized in Kainchi Dham. A large number of devotees eat Prasad. It is believed that Neem Karoli Baba himself takes care of this feast. There is a belief associated with this feast that Baba had converted the water in the vessel into ghee with his divine touch. Let us know about it. It is believed that once a feast was organized in Baba’s ashram. Food was being prepared for the devotees, but there was less ghee. There was difficulty in cooking food without ghee. The organizers were worried. Then Baba asked the organizers to bring water from the banks of Shipra river. The organizers followed Baba’s orders and brought water from Shipra river. After this Baba gave his divine touch to that water. Then the water got Baba’s divine touch and it turned into ghee. This ghee and the food prepared from it was enough for the devotees.
Major beliefs related to Neem Karoli Baba
Devotees considered Neem Karoli Baba to be the incarnation of Hanuman ji. He gave his entire life in the service of others. It is said that once the TTE had removed him from the train when he did not have a train ticket. Then the train could not move forward until Baba was made to sit back in the train. Baba always kept himself covered with a simple blanket. His devotees consider this blanket a symbol of his divine energy. Baba’s main message was that only one God resides in everyone.
Baba took Mahasamadhi in 1973
It is said that Neem Karoli Baba himself had fixed the date of June 15 for the establishment of Kainchi Dham. Neem Karoli Baba took Mahasamadhi on 10 September 1973 and left the physical body. Baba’s devotees started the construction work of Baba’s temple in 1974. Everyone felt Baba’s physical presence. Then Baba’s idol was established with Vedic mantras and he was installed in Kainchi Dham as Guru idol.
