Kalp kedar temple: Kalpa Kedar Temple is located in Dharali of Uttarkashi. It is an ancient temple that attracts people’s attention because of its place. The place where Lord Shiva’s head and jata were seen, that is why this place is to be known as Kalpeshwar or Kalpa Kedar Temple. In the month of Shravan, devotees come from far and wide to see this day.
The texture of this temple is like Kedarnath Dham. It was buried in the land due to floods and disaster in the temple. According to the local residents living there, the worship in this temple has started since the last decade. Even today, most of the temple is suppressed in the land and people go deep and worship here.
The structure of Kalpa Kedar Temple is very similar to the Kedarnath temple. Outside this temple, there are big stones of lion, recession, Shivling and pitcher shape, which have been carved beautiful. This temple is located at an altitude of 2200 meters in the Himalayas in the Urgam Valley. This is the only temple where it can be passed throughout the year. There are a total of five Kedar temples in Uttarakhand, of which Kalpa Kedar is one.
In the month of Shravan, devotees visit this temple to see Lord Shiva. It is believed that in the month of Shravan, the Ganges river comes out by touching Lord Shiva and raises them up. Along with this, Panchmukhi Shivling seated here was also dhoti.
A large part of the Kalpa Kedar temple is submerged. But still this temple is important for devotees. Devotees from all over the country come here to see Kalpa Kedar.
On August 5, due to cloudburst in Dharali of Uttarkashi, Kalpa Kedar Temple also got into the rubble. According to the news agency PTI, the Kalpa Kedar temple has also been buried in the debris in sudden floods.
