Earlier, only the top models of Slavia and Kushaq were available with the safety of 6 airbags. Only 2 airbags were available in the base model of both the cars. But now both these cars will be provided with 6 airbags as standard (i.e. with all models). Apart from airbags, these cars have been provided with safety features like tire pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, traction control, multi collision braking system and brake assist.
Now the price of Skoda Slavia is between Rs 11.63 lakh to Rs 18.83 lakh. Whereas the price of Skoda Kushaq is between Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 19.79 lakh. All these prices are as per ex-showroom.
Skoda Kushaq and Slavia Engine
The option of two engines is given in Slavia and Kushaq. One of these is a 1.0 liter petrol engine, which generates power of 150hp and torque of 150Nm. The second is a 1.5 liter turbo-petrol engine, which generates power of 115hp and torque of 250Nm. The 1 liter engine comes with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox. The 1.5 liter engine comes with 6-speed manual and 7-speed direct shift gearbox options.
Features of Skoda Slavia and Kushaq
Features like ADAS Level 2 (Advanced Driver Assistance System), 360 degree camera have been provided in Skoda Slavia and Kushaq. Both Kushaq and Slavia cars performed very well in Global NCAP crash test and have been given 5-star safety rating by the safety agency.
Updated versions of both these cars will be launched by the year 2025. It is also believed that special editions of both the cars can also be brought. Apart from this, Skoda is preparing to launch a new sub-4-meter SUV for the Indian market.
Engine details of the new Skoda SUV
Skoda’s upcoming SUV has been seen testing. Some of its design parts like split setup and dual pod LED headlamps with turn indicators, signature grille, soft shell bonnet, thick C-pillars, C-shaped LED tail lamps are seen in the leaked images. The new SUV can be launched with a 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine. With this, the option of 6-speed manual and automatic transmission will be available.
