South’s famous actor Prasanna is seen playing the role of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman in the web series ‘Ranneeti’ released on Jio Cinema. In this series, Prasanna has performed some such scenes in Kashmir in minus 3 degrees, which were very challenging for him. In a special conversation with TV9 Hindi Digital, Prasanna told how he shot this difficult scene in Kashmir. And how his team prepared him for the next take after a few minutes of take.
Prasanna said, “I was lucky that I had a good team. I had to give about 8 to 10 takes in the icy waters of Kashmir. And I was wearing a pilot’s jumper suit. And wearing that I had to run in that water. In every take I had to jump into the water with that suit. Then whenever I came out after taking a take, my shoes and clothes were removed after every take. Because my body used to become numb in icy water. I couldn’t feel my legs at all. My team used to stay ready by lighting a campfire. As soon as I came to rest, a chair was set up for me and they used to rub my hands and legs. “Only when I could feel my legs again would I take my next step.”

took inspiration from army soldiers
Ahead Prasanna Said, “My team supported me. But there is another thing even more important. The ones who inspired me again and again to go into that water and take the right step are our soldiers. Well, I am an actor, I am doing this work for money. I have an advantage in this. But our soldiers are doing this work without any selfishness. They don’t care about their lives, they don’t know whether they will return home or not, whether they will meet their families or not. But still they stand at the border to protect us. I performed these scenes thinking about him. At that time, Indian Army soldiers were my inspiration.”
