There is going to be a big opportunity for the women of Uttar Pradesh to get government jobs. The state government is preparing to fill thousands of vacant posts in Anganwadi centres. The Department of Child Development Services and Nutrition has sought details of vacant posts from the districts to take the recruitment process forward.
After this, the official notification of recruitment is expected to be released soon.
Through this recruitment, the vacant posts of Anganwadi workers and assistants will be filled in the state. With this, a large number of 12th pass women can get employment opportunities.
Recruitment will be done on more than 28 thousand posts
A total of 28,608 posts have been included in the proposed recruitment. These include 7,068 posts of Anganwadi workers and 21,540 posts of Anganwadi assistants. The aim of the government is to strengthen the system of Anganwadi centers and improve the functioning which is being affected due to vacant posts.
Why is the recruitment being done?
According to the information, the posts have become vacant after the completion of service of many Anganwadi workers and assistants in April 2026. To fill these vacancies, the department has intensified preparations to start the recruitment process. The new appointments will also help in running schemes related to children and women at Anganwadi centres.
Which women will be able to apply?
Some essential qualifications may be fixed for women applying for Anganwadi recruitment. It will be necessary for the candidate to have passed 12th from a recognized board. The age of the applicant woman should be between 18 to 35 years. Age will be calculated on the basis of date of birth recorded in the high school certificate. The woman applying must be a local resident of the concerned area.
Selection can be done on the basis of merit
The selection process in Anganwadi recruitment is likely to be done on the basis of merit. In some cases, candidates with higher educational qualifications may also get benefits.
