Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani visited the holy temples of Badrinath and Kedarnath in Uttarakhand on Monday. He performed puja there and donated Rs 5 crore each to both the temples i.e. a total of Rs 10 crore.
He arrived for darshan in traditional clothes and greeted people with folded hands. On reaching the temple, the officials of Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) welcomed him in a traditional manner. Ambani’s helicopter landed at Badrinath helipad at around 10 am. After about 20 minutes, he reached the sanctum sanctorum of Lord Badrivishal, where he performed worship. After the puja, he met the officials of Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee.

More than 12.23 lakh devotees reached Kedarnath

Char Dham Yatra has great religious significance in Hindu tradition. In this, devotees visit the four holy places Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath located in the Garhwal Himalayas. These four together are called ‘Char Dham’. It is believed that completing this journey leads to spiritual purification and God’s blessings.

Huge crowd gathering in Char Dham Yatra
Meanwhile, a large number of devotees are arriving for the Char Dham Yatra. According to official figures till June 13, more than 12.23 lakh devotees have visited Kedarnath Dham, while more than 10.92 lakh devotees have worshiped at Badrinath Dham. At the same time, till now more than 5.95 lakh devotees have reached Gangotri temple and more than 5.56 lakh devotees have reached Yamunotri temple. The continuously increasing number of devotees shows the strong faith of the people towards Char Dham Yatra.
