8 month old daughter will ask when will papa come
- I have an 8 month old baby girl and a 3 year old daughter. I don’t understand what I will do next for the future of my two children. We have not received any official statement from the company about my husband’s death… I request the government to arrange a permanent job for my family.”
- Uirathanathan’s father said that he was not given any information about his son’s death, but was told that he had some health problem.
- He said, “My son was working on the ship for the last 10 months. The shipping company did not inform us about his death. Instead, they told us that my son had a health issue and then switched off his phone. After that we had no contact with the company, nor did anyone from the ship talk to us. It has been more than 3 days since my son died, yet no concrete action has been taken.”
The father was not even told about his son’s death.
- The deceased’s father also said that when his son’s health deteriorated, the company did not take any action. He told, “When my son’s condition became very critical, the people on the ship asked for a helicopter for medical help. But, there was no response from the company office.
- Since the ship on which my son was serving was reportedly decommissioned, he was not given any proper medical attention. Even after informing me of the death, the company has allegedly not kept my son’s body in a properly refrigerated facility.” The father of the deceased has demanded a full investigation into the cause of death.
The shadow of the father is lifted from the heads of the daughters…
- “We request the authorities to immediately bring back his body and conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. My son has two young daughters. We do not know what will happen in the future. Our family is in deep shock,” he said.
