Under the International Yoga Day 2026, an attempt was made to create a Guinness World Record through an online yoga session on 14 June in Jashpur. A district level program will be organized at Ranjita Stadium on June 21. Registration facility is available on Yoga Sangam portal.
Raipur. The theme of International Yoga Day 2026 has been set by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India as “Yoga for Healthy Aging”. Various programs are being organized across the country with the aim of promoting a healthy, active and balanced lifestyle. In the same sequence, extensive preparations have been started for Yoga Day in Jashpur district also and efforts are being made to connect people through various activities.
Online Yoga Session: An attempt will be made to create a Guinness World Record
According to the information received from the AYUSH Department, a special online yoga session was organized on June 14, 2026 from 6:15 am to 7:35 am. The objective of this event is to attempt to create a Guinness World Record with the maximum number of people participating. A massive publicity and registration campaign was conducted to ensure large participation in this national initiative. Interested citizens registered themselves by giving a missed call on the toll-free number 1800-315-7008 and became a part of this historic campaign.
Jashpur Yoga Event: Main event to be held at Ranjita Stadium on 21st June
On the occasion of International Yoga Day, the district level main yoga program will be organized at Ranjita Stadium in Jashpur on 21 June 2026. Participation of public representatives, government officials, employees, students, social organizations and common citizens will be ensured in this event.
Yoga Sangam Portal 2026: Facility of online registration and documentation
Yoga Sangam Portal-2026 has been launched by the Ministry of AYUSH for registration and documentation of programs related to Yoga Day. Various government departments, educational institutions, local bodies and social organizations can register their respective yoga programs on this portal. After the event is organized, the concerned organizations will also be able to upload information, reports and photographs of the event on the portal, so that a record of all the activities can be prepared at the national level.
Guinness World Record Mission: Appeal for maximum participation
The AYUSH Department has appealed to the officers, employees of all departments, public representatives, students and common citizens to participate in yoga programs in large numbers. The department says that collective participation will not only make the national effort to create a Guinness World Record successful, but will also increase public awareness about yoga and promote a healthy lifestyle.
