Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer sports action drama ‘Peddi’ is performing brilliantly at the box office. Upon release, the film received mixed but mostly positive reviews from critics. There was controversy on social media regarding Jhanvi Kapoor’s character, but it did not affect the film’s earnings. Now ‘Peddi’ has achieved a new milestone by crossing the net earning mark of Rs 200 crore in India. The film is holding strong in the second week as well and the excellent response from the audience has made it one of the biggest Telugu films of the year.
The pace of ‘Peddi’ increased again on the second Saturday
According to the report of trade tracking website sacnilk.com, ‘Peddi’ earned Rs 8.10 crore nett in India on the second Saturday. This figure was much better than the last few days. Especially on the 9th day i.e. it is 57.3 percent more than the second Friday. The film did business of Rs 5.15 crore on second Friday and Rs 6.30 crore on second Thursday.

‘Peddi’ shows strong craze from day one
‘Peddi’ received tremendous support from the audience even before its release. The film did a business of around Rs 20 crore from advance booking on the first day. According to reports, more than 82 lakh tickets were sold before its release. After earning Rs 18.50 crore from paid previews held a day before its release, the film registered a spectacular opening of Rs 51 crore nett in India on the first day. However, the film’s collections started declining on weekdays. But by the completion of 10th day, this film has joined the 200 crore club in India and has made a total net collection of Rs 206.80 crore.
‘Peddi’ inches away from worldwide Rs 300 crore club
Talking about the worldwide collection, ‘Peddi’ is inches away from touching the figure of Rs 300 crore and on the 11th day it will easily join this club. On the 10th day, the film earned Rs 1 crore in foreign countries. With this its total overseas gross collection has reached Rs 51 crore. The gross collection of the film in India has reached Rs 245.53 crore. According to this, the film has earned a gross of Rs 296.53 crore at the worldwide box office.

Set to become the highest grossing Telugu film of the year
‘Peddi’ is now all set to hold the record of the highest grossing Telugu film of this year. It has overtaken the lifetime collection of Prabhas starrer ‘The Raja Saab’ in India (Rs 206.57 crore). Now with ‘Peddi’, Ram Charan is going to break the record of his own father Chiranjeevi’s film ‘Man Shankar Var Prasad Garu’, which had made a lifetime net collection of Rs 218.47 crore. Once this happens, ‘Peddi’ will become the most profitable South Indian film of 2026.

Apart from Ram Charan, actors like Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapati Babu, Shiv Rajkumar and Divyendu also have important roles in ‘Peddi’. The story of the film revolves around a young man named Peddi, who tries to make his mark through sports. While the film was praised for its story of sports and struggle, the audience criticized the presentation of Jhanvi Kapoor’s character Achiamma. However, later director Buchi Babu Sana apologized and announced the removal of the controversial scene from the film.
