Mohan Yadav Law And Order Review: What instructions did Chief Minister Mohan Yadav give regarding confiscation of property of criminals? In order to further strengthen the law and order situation in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has given many important instructions in the high level review meeting of the Home Department. He clearly said that action against criminals should not be limited to arrest only, but the process of confiscating their illegal properties should also be carried forward rapidly. The Chief Minister laid special emphasis on making police officers proactive, accountable and technically competent.

Police will get new resources to deal with changing crimes

In the review meeting held in Bhopal, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that with the changing times, the nature of crimes is also changing. In such a situation, the police force will be provided with necessary resources and technical assistance to deal with modern challenges.

He indicated that serious consideration is being given to implementing special investigation allowance for Investigating Officers in Madhya Pradesh. For this, a study of the systems implemented in other states has also been done. The Chief Minister said that in view of the expenses related to quick access to the crime scene, digital evidence collection, photography-videography, transportation of witnesses and victims and judicial process, additional assistance is required to the investigating officers.

There should be no laxity in confiscating the property of criminals

In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the officials to speed up the process of identifying illegal properties of criminals involved in serious crimes and confiscating them under the legal process. He said that the fear of law will be effective only when the criminals are also financially harmed and action is taken against the property acquired from crime.

Special instructions regarding women’s safety

The Chief Minister directed to give top priority to the safety of women and girl students. He said that there should be absolutely no incidents of molestation or anti-social activities around schools, colleges, coaching centers and other educational institutions. Police will have to increase regular monitoring and patrolling in sensitive areas.

Help of experts to stop cyber crime

In view of the rapidly increasing cyber crimes across the country, the Chief Minister directed the Home Department to take the services of IT consultants and cyber experts. It was also discussed in the meeting that the state cyber cell should be further strengthened to monitor and analyze social media based crimes and misuse of artificial intelligence (AI).

Preparations for Simhastha 2028 were also discussed

Keeping in mind the Simhastha 2028 to be held in Ujjain, the Chief Minister discussed the preparation of necessary police force for crowd management, law and order, VIP security, traffic management and disaster management. He directed that the arrangements being developed for Simhastha should not be made as temporary but permanent infrastructure, so that they can be used in future also.

Chief Minister praised police innovations

Dr. Mohan Yadav also praised many innovations being made by the police department. He praised the efforts related to control in Naxal affected areas, efforts to reduce road accidents, training of Aapda Mitras, cooperation in air ambulance operations, coordination of fire services and soldier welfare. The Chief Minister said that to make these initiatives more effective, there is a need for constant monitoring and improvement at the departmental level.

Brainstorming on AI based security system also

Developing a system like “Safeguard MP” using AI technology was also discussed in the meeting. The aim of this initiative is to strengthen the security of the elderly, women and weaker sections through technology. Apart from this, proposals like increasing the capacity of counter terrorist group, training of special police units, arrangement of scene of crime mobile units at the district level and giving special allowance to the employees deployed on VVIP duty were also considered.
