After the blockbuster success of Court, Natural Star Nani’s Unanimous Productions is backing Alias Rukmini. The romantic drama directed by Dhandora fame Murali Kanth Devasoth is headlined by Nithiin. Deepthi Ganta is backing the project, while Aafiya Sayed plays the female lead.
The makers have released a new promotional video featuring Nithiin as Krishna in a fresh avatar. The video takes viewers back to the time before Rukmini entered his life and introduces a younger version of Krishna, highlighting his youthful nature and charm.
In the video, director Murali Kanth Devasoth talks to Rukmini, played by Aafiya Sayed, about young Krishna. Their conversation sets the stage for Nithiin’s entry in a completely different look. The actor appears almost a decade younger, sporting a youthful appearance that suits the character’s age and personality. Aafiya is also visibly surprised by his transformation.
Nithiin sports neatly styled hair, a subtle moustache and a casual mustard-yellow T-shirt bringing a boyish charm to the character. He is seen sitting at a desk with a pen in his hand, seemingly lost in thought. His youthful appearance and innocent expressions bring out the charm of a carefree young dreamer.
Nithiin and Aafiya Sayed’s pairing is expected to be one of the film’s major attractions, with their characters bringing a distinct romantic flavour to the narrative. The film had earlier kick-started its musical promotions with the release of the first single, Ruku Ruku Rukmini. Composed by Vijai Bulganin, the melodious number beautifully captured Krishna’s affection for Rukmini.
The latest glimpse gives audiences a fresh look at Krishna and highlights Nithiin’s youthful makeover, adding to the curiosity surrounding Alias Rukmini. The film is set to hit theatres on December 4.
