The first season of The Traitors Telugu reaches its conclusion with the much-awaited 10th episode. After 9 episodes filled with murders, eliminations, mind games and unexpected twists, the finale brings the remaining contestants into a decisive battle. With Shravya Varma joining Sweekar Agasthi as a Traitor, the Innocents face a difficult challenge. Can they identify both Traitors and take home the prize money of Rs. 42.77 lakh? Let’s see how the finale unfolds.
The Final Five and the Traitors’ Advantage
The final episode begins after the previous night’s murder eliminates Pranav Chaganti, the final contestant to be murdered. Meghanath, Varsha, Sweekar, Shravya and Dhanunjaya are now the final five, with Sweekar and Shravya as the only remaining Traitors.
Shravya’s recruitment has completely changed the balance. Until then, she was one of the strongest Innocents and had helped identify several major Traitors. She understood the Innocents’ thinking, and that knowledge became a major advantage after her recruitment.
Meghanath is analytical, but often plays for self-preservation, looking for protection from murder rather than thinking about the group. His friendship with Sweekar and Shravya also affects his judgement.
Varsha appears confident but trusts Shravya blindly, failing to see how that bond can help the Traitors. Dhanunjaya is a gamer, but his poor reads, including suspecting innocent Mouneesha, have weakened his credibility. Pranav was calm, but not a decisive force in the final stretch.
Dhanunjaya’s Exit Keeps the Suspense Alive
In the final Round of Doubt, Meghanath, Varsha, Sweekar and Shravya all point towards Dhanunjaya. The Traitors know he is innocent, but eliminating him suits their plan. Dhanunjaya is voted out, yet, unlike earlier eliminated contestants, he does not reveal his identity. This keeps the audience guessing about how many Traitors remain. Teja’s decision to withhold the reveal adds suspense at an important stage. Dhanunjaya eventually reads both remaining Traitors correctly, but his earlier mistakes mean the others no longer take his suspicions seriously.
Teja also has brief individual conversations with the contestants, including Dhanunjaya, asking how they feel and whom they suspect. They offer little to the gameplay before the final Trust or Doubt challenge.
The Final Trust or Doubt Game
The four remaining contestants – Meghanath, Varsha, Sweekar and Shravya – take their positions on the dais, with Teja in the middle. Red represents Doubt (a Traitor is still present), while green represents Trust (no Traitor remains).
All four choose Doubt in the first round of voting. During the discussion, Varsha correctly identifies Sweekar as a Traitor. Meghanath names Varsha, while Sweekar and Shravya also target her. Sweekar wants to reduce the number of contestants, increasing the share for each Traitor if they win. Shravya’s vote protects their position. Varsha is eliminated without an identity reveal, adding to the suspense.
Meghanath’s vote shows how personal equations influence the game. He trusts Sweekar and Shravya because of their earlier bonds, allowing emotional connections to outweigh the evidence. Varsha gets Sweekar right, but cannot convince the others.
Shravya’s Final Move
With Varsha gone, only Meghanath, Sweekar and Shravya remain. In the next round, Sweekar and Shravya choose Trust. They know they are Traitors and want Meghanath to believe that no Traitor remains. Meghanath chooses Doubt and names Sweekar, showing that he still senses danger. However, he continues to trust Shravya, partly because she had helped the Innocents expose Traitors earlier.
Sweekar names Meghanath, and Shravya also votes against him. Meghanath is shocked by the betrayal, but soon understands that it is part of the game.
Teja then asks the two remaining contestants to reveal their identities. Sweekar confirms that he is a Traitor, which Meghanath expects. Shravya’s reveal is the bigger shock. The contestant who once helped the Innocents identify Traitors has now become one herself and played a central role in their defeat. Sweekar and Shravya win the entire prize money of Rs. 42,77,000.
Verdict
The finale delivers a satisfying conclusion to the first season of The Traitors Telugu. Shravya emerges as the biggest winner of the game, and her transformation from one of the strongest Innocents into a successful Traitor is the season’s major highlight. Sweekar also deserves credit for choosing the right partner and maintaining his position until the end.
The Innocents played well in the initial stages but repeatedly eliminated their own members because of misplaced suspicions. Shravya’s entry into the Traitors’ camp made things even easier for the hidden players, as she knew exactly how to manipulate the people who trusted her.
The final Trust or Doubt game provides excitement, but its format could have been designed better to raise the stakes and turn the dais into a more intense psychological battle. The contestants needed more opportunities to question, defend their choices and manipulate one another. Teja’s individual interactions could also have been more engaging.
At around 1 hour and 15 minutes, the finale feels lengthy, and splitting it into two episodes would have allowed the final discussions, eliminations and reveals to develop with greater impact.
Despite these shortcomings, the finale gives the season a proper ending, with the Traitors winning the entire prize pot of Rs. 42.77 lakh. As Teja’s famous line goes, everything is fair in love, war and The Traitors!
