However, at the trailer launch event, Akshay Kumar rejected these claims outright. He clearly said that he has not received the reported amount. The actor also revealed that his association with this film is not just because of money, but because of his old relationships with late writer Neeraj Vora and producer Firoz Nadiadwala.

Akshay Kumar told that ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ is not just another film for him. He said, “The most important thing for me was that the story of this film was written by Neeraj Vora. I always say that I got my understanding of comedy from three people – Priyadarshan ji, Rajkumar Santoshi and Neeraj Vora. All three of them have taught me a lot. Whatever I understand about comedy today, Neeraj Vora has a huge contribution in it.” The actor admitted that Neeraj Vora had a deep impact on his comic timing and career.
Akshay Kumar’s 36 year old relationship with Firoz Nadiadwala
Akshay Kumar also mentioned his long relationship with producer Firoz Nadiadwala. He said, “I have known Firoz Nadiadwala for almost 36 years. I still remember that I used to go to him during the days of struggle. And to be honest, even today I am struggling.” Hearing this from him, the people present at the program smiled.
