AI-generated videos have taken over the internet. Now, the chatter around films being made using technology has raised concern among actors and filmmakers.
Amid this, Janaawar – The Beast Within’s director Sachindra Vats told Zoom exclusively that he’s working on an AI film. Having said so, he further added that characters developed using technology can never replace human actors.
AI films can’t replace actors
In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Sachindra said, “I am learning AI engineering. Emotions that a real actor can bring, AI can never. I am working on an AI film and I don’t believe it can replace anyone. Instead, it will help enhance a filmmaker’s creativity.”
On the other hand, actor Bhuvan Arora, who plays a cop in Janaawar – The Beast Within, shared his perspective. He said, “I am not saying this isn’t a matter of concern. I feel this will co-exist. Jobs will be at risk. The industry will not shut down. I believe there will be an audience ready to watch the kind of cinema AI would be making. It can be a beneficial tool when it comes to cutting costs. If used correctly, it will be great for the industry. It will not replace actors, but could take a handsome amount of room.”
