Mumbai, Maharashtra: Actor Medha Rana has been confirmed as the female lead opposite Ahan Shetty in the upcoming action-romance film ‘Sanki’.
Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, known for ‘Rustom’ and ‘Mission Raniganj’, the film’s production has officially commenced in Bhopal.
Rana, who previously appeared in ‘Border 2’ alongside Varun Dhawan, will portray Ahan Shetty’s love interest. Following the success of her last film, Rana reportedly took her time to select her next project, finding ‘Sanki’ to be the significant opportunity she was seeking.
Sources close to the production indicate that Rana has undergone intensive preparation and workshops for the past two months to fully immerse herself in the character. Her role is described as a blend of romance, intensity, and significant action sequences, which has been a key focus of her extensive training.
The pairing of Ahan Shetty and Medha Rana is generating considerable anticipation, especially given their previous, albeit separate, roles in ‘Border 2’. Their on-screen chemistry as a lead pair in ‘Sanki’ is expected to be a major highlight.
‘Sanki’ is produced by We The People, Roaring River Productions, and Pals & Peers Entertainment. The film is slated for a 2027 release, with its first look expected to be unveiled soon.
