Fortune Global 500 List: Mukesh Ambani’s sting again in the world, government companies also settled

Not only the country but also the famous Indian Industries of Asia, Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries 2025’s Fortune Global 500 list remains the highest ranking company. This time the list includes a total of 9 companies including Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) of the public sector. According to the latest ranking of Fortune magazine, the company working in various business sectors is ranked 88th in the list. The company was ranked 86th in 2024. However, the company has jumped 67 places in the last four years. It was ranked 155 in the year 2021. Reliance has retained its place in the prestigious Fortune Global 500 list for 22 consecutive years.

Which company got which ranking

  1. The list of Fortune includes 9 companies from India this year. Of which five are from public sector and four are private sectors.
  2. The country’s largest insurance company LIC remains 95th position this time like last year.
  3. Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), one of the country’s big oil companies, has moved down 11 places in the ranking of 2025 to 127th.
  4. SBI (State Bank of India), the country’s largest bank, has climbed up 15 places to 163rd.
  5. On the other hand, HDFC Bank, the country’s most valuable and private lender, climbed up 48 places to 258th place.
  6. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has lost a place and has come down to 181st position.
  7. Other Indian companies in the list are Tata Motors at 283rd. He has lost 12 places in the last year.
  8. On the other hand, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited i.e. BPCL was ranked 285th. The company suffered a loss of 27 places in the 2024 match.
  9. No changes have been seen in the position of the country’s second largest private lender ICICI Bank. The bank ranks at 464th position.

Top 10 includes 3 Chinese companies

Walmart, a US retail -ranked company, remains the world’s top ranked company. After that it is the place of Amazon. Three Chinese companies in the top 10…. Public sector power company State Grid is in third place, China National Petrol is in fifth place and the veteran company of oil and gas is in sixth place. Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest oil exporting company, is fourth and Apple is at eighth place. Fortune Global 500 list prepares a list of companies on the basis of total revenue in the last financial year. Reliance’s integrated gross revenue was increased by 7.1 per cent to Rs 10,71,174 crore in FY 2024-25.
