London Spirit, The Hundred: A new chapter has been added in the career of England cricket team’s star all-rounder Liam Livingston. The London Spirit team has appointed Livingston as its new captain for the 2026 season of The Hundred, England’s famous 100-ball cricket tournament. Based on the historic cricket ground of Lord’s, this franchise has now handed over the command of the team to this strong player.

Liam Livingston got big responsibility

The decision to hand over the captaincy to Liam Livingston is a big bet, because his record in this format has been quite unmatched. He is the batsman who has hit the most sixes in the history of ‘The Hundred’ league with 71 sixes. He understands the nuances of this short-format game very well. Along with his captaincy skills on the field, he will give balance to the team with his aggressive batting and improvised spin bowling.

Liam Livingston will not be alone as captain, rather he is going to get strategic support from the world’s most experienced coaching staff. He will work closely with head coach Andy Flower and former Indian veteran player Dinesh Karthik. Dinesh Karthik is the batting coach and mentor of this team. The performance of the pair of Andy Flower and Dinesh Karthik has also been excellent in the IPL. This pair has made RCB champion two consecutive times.

Played only 2 matches in IPL 2026

Liam Livingston was a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad team in IPL 2026. Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him in the auction by spending Rs 13 crore. But he got a chance to play only 2 matches in the entire season. He remained on the bench for the rest of the season. But the London Spirit team has shown full confidence in him and given him a big responsibility.
