Delhi Airport Sees 3 Flight Diversions Due to Bad Weather, Check Details

The Delhi airport has witnessed a disturbance in flight operation after the dense fog layer covered the city, making the weather unfit for the plans to fly.

As per the details shared by the PTI, the airport has seen the diversions of at least three flights on Jan 31, leaving all the passengers agitated and angry.

It also has been reported that the bad weather also affected the flight operation at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, putting multiple plans in the delayed category.

Flight Diverted to Where?

The report says more than four flights have been diverted, leaving behind their original destination. This took place somewhere between destinations between 9.30 pm on Tuesday and 7 am on Wednesday, where one flight had to take the route of Rajasthan’s Jaipur, followed by the other two in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad and Mumbai in Maharashtra.

It has been informed that the foggy weather caused the cancellation of planes upon arrival. The bad weather conditions also roped the departures significantly as well, disrupting the business on the same day.

Here’s What Aiport Authority Says

Educating passengers about the same, Delhi Airport’s concerned authority issued an advisory, where it says. “While landing and takeoffs continue at Delhi Airport, flights that are not CAT III compliant may get affected. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.”

Meanwhile, the bad weather conditions impact was also seen at the Anand Vihar Railway Station as multiple trains have been put on hold.
