Among the two names that Hemant Soren has signed, one name as an option is Kalpana Soren, who is the wife of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. But there is also discussion about the fact that Kalpana is not getting consent in the cabinet on Soren’s name. In such a situation, another name has emerged as a second option, and that name is Champai Soren.
Know who is Champai Soren?
Champai Soren is the MLA of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. He has been MLA from Seraikela assembly constituency since 2005. Champai is currently the current Transport Minister of Jharkhand. Champai Soren was born on 1 November 1956 in Jillinggora village of Seraikela district of Jharkhand. Champai’s father Simal Soren was a farmer and Champai also did farming in the beginning.
Champai’s political journey
JMM MLA Champai Soren’s political journey begins in the 1980s. Champai joined JMM in the same decade. In 1995, he was elected President of Seraikela Zilla Parishad. After which, in the year 2005, he contested elections from Seraikela assembly constituency and won.
In 2019, when the coalition government was formed in Jharkhand, he was made the Transport Minister. While holding this post, he has taken many important steps to improve the transport system of the state, which are discussed.
