Jashpur District In-charge Secretary Shri Ankit Anand reviewed in detail the progress of the ongoing development works and various public welfare schemes in the district during the review meeting held in the District Panchayat Hall. Collector Mr. Rohit Vyas, Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Lal Umed Singh and district level officers were present in the meeting. The Secretary in-charge took information about the work of health, education, infrastructure, agriculture, drinking water, housing, social security and other important departments and gave necessary guidelines for effective implementation of the schemes.

Emphasis on quick disposal of good governance Tihar applications

The status of applications received under Good Governance Tihar was reviewed in the meeting. Shri Anand directed the officials to ensure that all pending applications are resolved seriously and in a timely manner. During the review of the Revenue Department, he laid special emphasis on online registration of all revenue cases and keeping the records updated regularly.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and PM Janman Yojana reviewed

While reviewing the progress of the houses sanctioned and under construction under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural and Urban), the Secretary in-charge gave instructions to complete the incomplete houses soon. He also took information about the construction works approved under PM Janman Yojana, tender process and incomplete projects. Also laid emphasis on effectively implementing the schemes of the Central and State Government.

Instructions to complete the incomplete work of Jal Jeevan Mission soon

During the review of Jal Jeevan Mission, the Secretary in-charge said that the projects whose work is still incomplete should be completed soon on priority basis. He directed to ensure permanent and alternative drinking water system especially in those villages where the ground water level is continuously decreasing.

Discussion on progress of big institutions including medical colleges

In the meeting, the progress of construction and establishment works of the proposed medical college, 220 bedded hospital, government nursing college, physiotherapy college and other important institutions in the district was also reviewed.

Focus on agriculture and allied activities to increase farmers’ income

During the review of the Agriculture Department, information about the area of ​​Kharif and Rabi crops, availability of fertilizers and seeds and storage conditions was taken. The Secretary in-charge laid emphasis on promoting pulses, oilseeds, horticulture, fisheries, animal husbandry and dairy activities to increase the income of farmers. He directed that with the help of Apex Bank, Chhattisgarh Gramin Bank and Cooperative Department, loan facilities should be provided to the farmers for farming, dairy, fisheries and agro-based enterprises, so that they can expand their business.

Review of ration cards, food grains distribution and education schemes

During the review of the Food Department, the status of ration card renewal, approval of new ration cards and timely storage and distribution of food grains in fair price shops was assessed. Information about distribution of textbooks and uniforms in schools was taken from the Education Department. Necessary instructions were given by the Women and Child Development Department after reviewing the progress of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, e-KYC, Chief Minister Child Reference Scheme and Ayushman Card making.

Instructions to provide home based pension to disabled and elderly beneficiaries

During the review of the Social Welfare Department, the Secretary in-charge directed that a list should be prepared by identifying such disabled, elderly and helpless beneficiaries who are unable to reach the bank. He said that such beneficiaries should be provided the facility of doorstep pension payment through BC Sakhi. Also, beneficiaries requiring artificial limbs, hearing aids, spectacles, crutches and other assistive devices should be benefited on priority.

More than 15 thousand applications received in Good Governance Tihar

Collector Shri Rohit Vyas told in the meeting that under Good Governance Tihar, a total of 35 camps were organized in rural and urban areas of the district. 15,846 applications were received in these camps, out of which 11,205 applications have been resolved. The process of resolving the remaining applications is also going on on priority basis. He said that as per the announcements of the Chief Minister, work is going on at a fast pace on important projects like Medical College, 220 bedded Hospital, Government Nursing College, Naturopathy Centre, Physiotherapy College and Critical Care Center in the district.

More than 93 thousand houses completed under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

The Collector said that a total of 1,12,618 houses have been sanctioned in the district under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Of these, construction work of 93,506 houses has been completed.

Thousands of water conservation works in progress under MNREGA

District Panchayat CEO Mr. Abhishek Kumar informed that wage payments are being made regularly under MNREGA. Six model Amrit Sarovar have been selected in the district for water conservation and promotion. Apart from this, 495 works of livelihood Dabri, 461 works of water recharge, 1,437 works of renovation of traditional water sources and 3,050 works of soak pit construction are approved and in progress.

Detailed review of schemes of various departments

In the review meeting, various departments and schemes including MNREGA, Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission, Swachh Bharat Mission, Forest Department, Tribal Welfare Department, PM Janman Yojana, Health, Agriculture, Horticulture, Food, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Water Resources, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Education, Social Welfare, Labour, Public Health Engineering, CREDA and Chief Minister Rural Bus Scheme were reviewed in detail.
