India A vs Sri Lanka A:Dia A’s Sri Lanka tour has started. On this tour, the first match of the ODI triangular series was played between India A and host Sri Lanka A. At one point in this match, Sri Lanka A team appeared to prove India A’s decision of batting first wrong by winning the toss. He dismissed both his openers for just 16 runs. After that soon the third big blow was given in the form of Priyansh Arya. But, after the top 3 wickets were reduced to 69 runs, the work done by Rituraj Gaikwad and Tilak Verma together ruined all the prepared plans of Sri Lanka A. India scored 277 runs for 6 wickets in 50 overs.
Rituraj-Tilak made a partnership of 150 runs
Rituraj Gaikwad and Tilak Verma together not only handled the team’s innings but also made a big partnership for the fourth wicket. Both of them put 150 runs on the board for the fourth wicket. It was during this partnership that Rituraj completed his 21st List A century and Tilak Verma completed his half century. In doing so, both of them dashed Sri Lanka A’s ambitions of wrapping up India A’s innings as quickly as possible.
Rituraj’s century, Tilak’s half-century
Rituraj Gaikwad played an inning of 101 runs in 113 balls against Sri Lanka A. This was the 21st century of his List A career, which included 6 fours and 3 sixes. Apart from Rituraj, Tilak Verma scored his 11th half-century in List A. He scored 60 runs in 97 balls against Sri Lanka A, which included 2 fours and 1 six.
Fast innings of Ayush- Suryansh, Sri Lanka A’s target of 278
The wickets of Ruturaj and Tilak fell in the space of 7 balls against Sri Lanka A. After both of them were out, Ayush Badoni and Suryansh Shedge showed good hands and increased the scoreboard rapidly. Ayush Badoni was out after scoring 24 runs on 18 balls. Whereas Suryansh Shedge remained unbeaten after scoring 26 runs on 14 balls. In the end, the result of both their fast innings was that India A was successful in setting the target of 278 runs for Sri Lanka A.
