A story of courage, changing oneself and succeeding in the long run is gaining a lot of attention on the internet. This story has been shared by entrepreneur and content creator Ankur Wariku on social media. This is the story of 26 year old Shaurya Shikhar. Five years ago, Shaurya was facing a huge failure. He gave the difficult exam of IIT-JEE, but could not pass. This was an even bigger disappointment for him because his father himself was an IIT-ian. After this failure, his health also started deteriorating, his weight increased to more than 110 kg and he also hated his BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) college studies.
In this difficult period, Shaurya joined Wariku’s team while studying in college. Wariku tells that at that time Shaurya was stuck between his personal difficulties, career uncertainty and disappointment in studies. He often found it difficult to see a better future for himself.
Warikoo wrote in a LinkedIn post, “He took the IIT-JEE exam and got rejected. This made him feel like a complete loser, especially because his dad was from IIT! On top of that, he didn’t even try to prove himself by doing engineering. Instead, he lost his mind and took a BBA degree. He weighed 110+ kg. He felt like he had let his parents down. He hated his college. He was convinced that nothing could happen in his life.
His life has completely changed in the last five years. Shaurya is now 26, has a great career and earns seven figures every month. Recently he bought a BMW car worth Rs 55 lakh to his father as a retirement gift. Wariku said that the EMI of this luxury car was less than 7% of Shaurya’s monthly earnings, while the down payment given for the car was less than 5% of his net worth.

His change was not limited to money only. During these years, Shaurya also paid attention to his health and fitness and today he is in the fittest phase of his life. According to Wariku, this story is not really about wealth, expensive cars or financial success. Rather, he used it as a lesson that a person’s destiny is not determined by his failures. What appears to be a failure at one stage of life can often be the beginning of a completely new path.
This story touched the hearts of thousands of people online. Many users said they could also relate to the feeling of uncertainty and self-doubt that comes with major disappointments. Others said the story was a reminder that the path to success is never straight and that major changes often only appear years after the struggle began.
