Officials took the man into custody following a raid at Vilayur in Pattambi. He was living in a rented house at Edappalam in Vilayur.

The NIA conducted simultaneous searches across 16 locations in India, covering Kerala, Assam, and West Bengal. The agency is investigating cross-border terror activities and illegal recruitment networks. In Kerala, the NIA team landed in Pattambi’s Vilayur early in the morning. Sources say the raid is connected to ‘Imam Mahmuder Kafil’, a suspected offshoot of the banned Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh.
