Not Just a Bike: Honda and Onitsuka Tiger Create a Fashion-Inspired Motorcycle Concept

Honda has entered the world of fashion with a unique collaboration with Japanese lifestyle brand Onitsuka Tiger. The two iconic Japanese companies unveiled the Onitsuka Tiger Honda Mid Sports Concept during the Onitsuka Tiger show at Milan Fashion Week 2027 Women’s Spring/Summer Collection.

The concept motorcycle became one of the highlights of the event, showcasing how motorcycle design and fashion aesthetics can come together to create a completely different visual experience.

Honda and Onitsuka Tiger Bring Two Japanese Icons Together

The collaboration marks a creative partnership between two Japanese brands with deep cultural roots. Honda founded in 1948 and Onitsuka Tiger, established in 1949 have joined hands to combine Honda’s motorcycle engineering expertise with Onitsuka Tiger’s distinctive fashion identity. The result is a one-of-a-kind motorcycle concept designed specifically to represent the spirit of both brands.

Tiger Yellow Design Makes Motorcycle Stand Out

The Onitsuka Tiger Honda Mid Sports Concept is based on a mid-displacement sports motorcycle platform. The bike features Onitsuka Tiger’s signature Tiger Yellow colour scheme, complemented by bold black stripes across the bodywork. The design language reflects the fashion brand’s instantly recognisable visual identity while maintaining Honda’s sporty motorcycle character.

The concept motorcycle also features black alloy wheels with yellow accents along with Honda and Onitsuka Tiger branding.

One-Off Concept, No Production Plans Announced

Honda and Onitsuka Tiger have clarified that the motorcycle is not planned for commercial production. Instead, the model serves as a design showcase highlighting the creative possibilities when automotive innovation meets fashion culture. The project represents a growing trend where global brands from different industries collaborate to create unique experiences beyond their traditional products.

Motorcycle Culture Meets Fashion on Milan Runway

Along with the motorcycle concept, Onitsuka Tiger also displayed a collection of clothing and footwear featuring Honda’s famous Wing logo. The fashion collection drew inspiration from motorcycle culture and aimed to introduce elements of mobility and riding lifestyle to a wider audience.

The collaboration showcased how motorcycles can become more than just transportation as they can also represent identity, style and cultural expression.

Onitsuka Tiger’s Iconic Yellow and Black Legacy

The yellow-and-black colour combination associated with Onitsuka Tiger has gained worldwide recognition over decades. The style became especially famous after being worn by Bruce Lee in the 1978 film Game of Death and later featured in Uma Thurman’s iconic outfit in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill.

With the Honda collaboration, the legendary colour palette has now entered the world of motorcycle design.
