K.G.F. Yash comes to mind as soon as I hear these words. His character Rocky Bhai comes to mind. I miss the coal mine. Some glimpses of Sanjay Dutt becoming Adhira pass before our eyes. KGF is a picture which made Yash a pan India star. A film made on Kolar Gold Fields, which changed the meaning of the box office. A film that created a new synonym for over the top action.
KGF was a movie coming out of Kannada film industry, now another picture based on Kolar Gold Fields i.e. KGF is coming from Tamil industry, its name is Thanglaan. In this, Chiyaan Vikram is in the lead role. It has been directed by Pa. Ranjeet. If you haven’t seen its teaser yet, then watch it quickly.
There is going to be a lot of violence in this film. The special thing is that there is no artificiality in this violence, it is absolutely raw violence. You must have seen Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’. It was described as the most violent film of his career. It was said that this is the most violent film to come out in recent times. But if you have seen the teaser of ‘Tanglan’, then your misconception will be cleared. In this you will see a lot more gruesomeness than ‘Animal’.
The violence of ‘Animal’ will seem childish compared to ‘Tanglan’. The hoofs of horses excite for war; Spears, arrows, hammers, maces, guns are flying. It is becoming difficult to differentiate between water and blood. Chiyaan Vikram is being bathed in blood. When he breaks the snake like a cucumber, the violence of the film can be gauged from there. The detailing of the snake’s agony when the two segments are being played is amazing. Its background score is inciting to the warriors. Music GV Prakash Kumar has given. He has earlier received the National Award for ‘Soorarai Pottaru’. Ever since the teaser of ‘Tanglaan’ came out, people are saying that India is going to get another Oscar.
The story of ‘Tanglan’ is based on real events. This happens in pre-independence India. In the teaser, a fair man is seen among the laborers, from this you can guess that there is definitely some connection with the British. Director of the film Pa. Ranjit has focused on a backward class of mine workers. For this, he has done research for four to five years, so that nothing is left out in the detailing of the film.
The budget of the film is around 150 crores. It will be released in a total of five languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. The release date of the film is said to be 26 January 2024.
