'Congress is the broker of BJP'… Why are Mamata's MPs upset over INDIA alliance?

On one hand, the opposition parties have formed INDIA alliance to stop the victory chariot of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP, on the other hand, coordination is not being achieved within the alliance itself. Sometimes there is a tug of war going on in the INDIA alliance regarding the post of Prime Minister and sometimes regarding the distribution of seats. Meanwhile, TMC leader Kunal Ghosh has given a big statement regarding Congress. Due to which it is natural that voices of protest will be raised in Congress.

TMC leader Kunal Ghosh has called Congress a broker of BJP. He has called the Congress unit of West Bengal a broker of BJP. Actually, Kunal Ghosh was asked about the distribution of seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In response to which he said that he had no information about it. TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee is watching this entire process. In such a situation, she will take the final decision and will inform at the right time.

‘Congress is BJP’s broker in Bengal’

Further, TMC leader Kunal Ghosh said that there is a lot of difference between Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi’s Delhi Congress and Bengal Congress. Sonia and Rahul are trying their best to coordinate with TMC in INDIA alliance, but Congress is different in Bengal. He said that Congress plays the role of BJP’s broker in Bengal.

‘BJP benefited because of Congress in 2021’

TMC leader Kunal Ghosh said that TMC had suffered a big loss due to Congress in the 2021 assembly elections in West Bengal. He said that in this election TMC was fighting to defeat BJP but in 2021, Congress contested the elections with CPM, due to which the votes were divided. Congress did not get even a single seat in the elections but BJP directly benefited from it.

Seat distribution is a big issue in INDIA alliance

Let us tell you that in view of the Lok Sabha elections, the issue of seat sharing remains a big issue among the INDIA alliance. The formula for seats has not been decided yet between the parties. After the crushing defeat in three states, Congress is on the back foot. Congress was hopeful that the party would win the elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, after which it could stake its claim on more seats for the Lok Sabha elections, but the results dashed Congress’s hopes. In such a situation, Samajwadi Party and TMC are claiming maximum seats in their respective areas.
