Pop icon Taylor Swift has brought Hollywood stars Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell on board for the music video of her upcoming song ‘Patient Zero’.
Swift shared a teaser for the music video on Instagram on Thursday, featuring herself alongside Johnson and Farrell. “This Sunday. @vmas,” she wrote in the caption.
The music video is set to release on Friday alongside her ‘The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore’ album. Swift has directed the video, which will receive its world premiere at the MTV VMAs on Sunday, where she is also set to receive the inaugural Artist-Director Award.
Swift previously announced ‘The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore’, revealing that the album will feature four new songs.
Sharing the album cover and a note on Instagram, Swift reflected on the journey of ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ over the past year. She said she travelled to Sweden to celebrate the album’s success with collaborators Max and Shellback and that the visit eventually led to the creation of additional songs.
“I hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made,” Swift wrote, adding that ‘The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore’, featuring four new songs, would be released on Friday.
‘The Life of a Showgirl’ was originally released on October 3, 2025.
