India registered a thrilling victory over Japan in a rain-affected T20 International. The match was reduced to five overs per side, with India managing only 32 runs.
Japan came close to chasing down the target but fell short by two runs on the final delivery. The result also marked India’s 200th win in T20I cricket.

This takes their overall tally to 200 wins. India remain unbeaten in matches that have been tied. One such game against New Zealand could not proceed to a Super Over because of rain, leaving the contest officially tied.

New Zealand are third on the list of teams with the most T20I victories, despite never winning the T20 World Cup. They have played 267 matches, recording 137 wins. The Kiwis have been involved in 10 tied games and managed to win only two of those contests.

South Africa played their first T20I in 2005. Since then, they have won 131 of their 235 matches, placing them fourth among the teams with the most victories in the format. They have also suffered 101 defeats. The inaugural T20 World Cup was held in South Africa in 2007.

Two-time T20 World Cup champions England have won 130 of their 233 T20I matches. They have suffered 92 defeats, while 11 games ended without a result. England have enjoyed an impressive run this year, winning 16 of their 19 T20Is. One of their defeats came against India in the T20 World Cup semifinal.
