Raipur. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, starting his four-day stay in Bastar, inspected many development works on the first day and gave necessary directions to the officials. During this, he participated in the public problem solving camp organized under Good Governance Tihar in Kottra of Kanker district. Here he inaugurated the newly constructed building of Gram Panchayat and distributed cheques, materials and certificates to the beneficiaries of various government schemes.

Bastar Development Review: Plans and construction works will be reviewed for four days

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao will stay in Bastar division for the next four days and inspect the ground implementation of various development projects and government schemes. During this time, he will also review the progress of development works by holding a meeting of officers of all the districts of the division.

Jal Jeevan Mission Kanker: Review of drinking water system in Badegauri

On the first day of his tour, Shri Sav reached Kanker, where he inspected the works conducted under Jal Jeevan Mission in village Badegauri of Charama development block. Here, water tank construction and retrofitting work has been done at a cost of approximately Rs 2 crore 49 lakh, through which clean and safe drinking water is being supplied to 391 houses. The Deputy Chief Minister visited the houses of the villagers and inspected the water supply system and also participated in the water offering programme. He instructed the officials for better operation of the scheme.

Nalanda Campus Kanker: Inspection of Nalanda campus under construction

Shri Sao also inspected the 250 seater Nalanda complex under construction in Kanker. While reviewing the work of this complex which is being built at a cost of approximately Rs 4 crore 71 lakh, he instructed the concerned officials to speed up the construction work. He said that this project should be completed by next October so that students and youth can get its benefits. Along with this, he instructed the Chief Municipal Officer for better cleanliness and development of public facilities as per the requirements of the district headquarters.

Amoda Narharpur Road Project: Expressed displeasure over delay in road construction

The Deputy Chief Minister also inspected the Amora-Narharpur road construction project. During the inspection, he expressed his displeasure over the slow progress of the work and directed the contractor and the executive engineer to speed up the construction work. He clearly said that quality and time limit in construction works are among the top priorities of the state government and no compromise on these two aspects will be accepted.

Road Infrastructure Bastar: Instructions to complete the work by increasing machinery and labor

Shri Sao directed the concerned agencies to speed up the construction work by arranging additional machinery and workers. It is noteworthy that this 16 kilometer long two-lane road is being constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 40 crore 23 lakh. During this time, Kanker MLA Shri Asharam Netam was also present with the Deputy Chief Minister and participated in the inspection of various projects.
