What is the whole matter?
On the night of June 2, there was news of uproar at Khan Global Studies Coaching Institute located in Kadamkuan area of Patna. It is alleged that some people entered the institute premises, vandalized it, pelted stones and assaulted the security personnel. After the incident, an atmosphere of tension was created in the area. Initially Khan sir had claimed that several rounds of bullets were fired by the attackers. However, he later distanced himself from this claim. Meanwhile, a video surfaced in which two security personnel were seen firing outside the coaching institute. This video has now become the most important basis of police investigation.
The scope of investigation increased after the arrest of security personnel
After the video went viral, the police detained both the security personnel and interrogated them. After interrogation, he was arrested and sent to jail in judicial custody. According to police sources, during interrogation, both the security personnel claimed that the firing was done on the instructions of Khan sir. On the basis of this statement, the scope of investigation was expanded and later an FIR was also registered against Khan sir. It is being told that the police are continuously raiding their possible location and all aspects related to the case are being investigated.
Khan sir’s defense: “It was a step taken in self-defense”
Responding to the matter, Khan sir said that the firing was not done with the intention of harming anyone but in self-defense. He says that the coaching security personnel were attacked first and the situation was deteriorating rapidly. At such a time, it could take time for the police to reach the spot, so the security personnel fired to warn. Khan Sir raised the question and said that if an institution is attacked and a deadly attack is made on the security personnel, then what is the justification for the security arrangements.
Video message issued addressing the students
Amidst the controversy, Khan sir also released a video message in the name of students. In this he claimed that one of his security personnel was brutally beaten by 20 to 25 people. He also alleged that the real culprits of the incident have not been arrested yet and efforts are being made to divert the entire matter in the other direction. Referring to the role of his institute, Khan sir said that if his coaching institute is affected or closed, the financial burden on students preparing for competitive exams may increase. According to him, his aim is to make education accessible and affordable.
Name of Gyan Bindu GS Academy also surfaced
The name of Roshan Anand, director of Gyan Bindu GS Academy is also in discussion in this matter. In the complaint lodged by Khan Sir, it was alleged that people associated with Gyan Bindu may have played a role in the attack on the coaching institute. After this, the police arrested Roshan Anand and his two associates Abhishek and Gaurav and sent them to judicial custody. However, Roshan Anand has rejected all the allegations and declared himself innocent.
Students took to the streets, demanding a fair investigation
The matter has started taking the form of not only legal but also social and student movement. A large number of students took to the streets demanding the release of Roshan Anand and a fair investigation. Students took out a march from different areas of Patna and reached Kargil Chowk and protested by lighting candles. The protesting students say that no person should be considered guilty before the investigation is completed and the police should act impartially.
