Mahindra Scorpio N facelift has been spied testing for the first time, revealing a significantly redesigned front fascia. While the prototype is heavily camouflaged, the changes appear to draw inspiration from Scorpio Lifestyler pickup unveiled recently. This is particularly significant because Mahindra Chief Design Officer that Lifestyler would influence Scorpio N and future products within the Scorpio family.
Scorpio Lifestyler Influence Takes Shape
Compared to current Scorpio N, the facelift prototype appears to have an extensively redesigned front. Circular temporary headlamps can be seen on the test mule. Overall positioning and proportions of these elements point towards a front-end treatment inspired by Scorpio Lifestyler.
Lifestyler features a wider and more aggressive fascia with slim lighting elements, a large grille and a substantially more muscular bumper. 2027 Scorpio N facelift could adapt some of these cues rather than directly copying the pickup’s design.
Side Profile Remains Familiar
Unlike the heavily disguised front, the basic proportions and body structure remain recognisably Scorpio N. Doors, window line, upright greenhouse and overall silhouette appear largely unchanged. The prototype is running on steel wheels, which is common for development vehicles and shouldn’t be considered indicative of production specifications.
Production versions should receive newly designed alloy wheels as part of the facelift. Changes to the rear aren’t clearly visible in these images. Revised tail lamps, bumper detailing and other minor styling changes are possible as development progresses.
Interior Could Receive Bigger Changes
Scorpio Lifestyler also previewed a considerably more modern cabin than current Scorpio N. One of its highlights is a large portrait-oriented touchscreen accompanied by a redesigned dashboard, steering wheel and centre console.
It remains to be seen how much of this will reach 2027 Scorpio N facelift. Mahindra could use the update to introduce a larger infotainment system, revised digital instrumentation and newer connected and safety technologies. The company recently gave Scorpio N a feature update, so the facelift could focus more extensively on design and technology.
Engine options remain same
Major changes to the existing powertrain lineup are not evident at this stage. Scorpio N currently offers 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre turbo diesel engines with manual and automatic transmission options. Four-wheel drive is also available with the diesel. Launch is expected sometime in 2027.
