Resigned BJP MPs will have to vacate their houses, 30 days’ time!

Recently, in the assembly elections held in 5 states, 21 MPs including 4 Union Ministers had contested from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), out of which 12 MPs had won and 11 of them had resigned from the Parliament after the victory. Had resigned. Now quoting sources, it is reported that the Lok Sabha Housing Committee has given notice to all those BJP MPs who resigned from Parliament membership after winning the assembly elections to vacate the government residence in 30 days.

Of these, 8 MPs were allotted accommodation from the Lok Sabha Housing Committee pool. Whereas 3 MPs are Union Ministers, hence they get allocation from the Ministry of Urban Development. Sources say that the rules are the same for everyone, not just opposition MPs. Lok Sabha MPs who have been given notice to vacate their houses in 30 days include Rakesh Singh, Gomti Sai, Arun Sao, Riti Pathak, Baba Balaknath, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Diya Kumari and Uday Pratap Singh.

President accepted resignations

Earlier, President Draupadi Murmu accepted the resignations of Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Singh Patel and Renuka Singh late Thursday night. These three ministers had recently won the assembly elections. With the acceptance of the resignation, President Murmu handed over the additional charge of the Agriculture Ministry to Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda.

On the advice of PM Modi, President Murmu has given additional charge of Agriculture Ministry and Farmers Welfare Ministry to Arjun Munda while Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrashekhar has been given additional charge of Jal Shakti Ministry as Minister of State. Similarly, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shobha Karandlaje has been given the additional charge of Minister of State for Food Processing Industries.

MPs resigned after victory

Earlier, BJP had decided that all its 12 recently elected MPs would resign from their posts. After this, Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Patel and Renuka Singh resigned. After these resignations, it is believed that they may join the new governments in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh Lok Sabha MP Renuka Singh had won from Bharatpur-Sonhat seat. Other MPs include Uday Pratap Singh, Reeti Pathak and Rakesh Singh from Madhya Pradesh, besides Rajya Sabha MPs Kirori Lal Meena, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Diya Kumari from Rajasthan, as well as Gomti Sai and Arun Sao from Chhattisgarh. Apart from Meena, all the MPs were Lok Sabha MPs.
